FAQ
what are the vows, toasts and ceremony films? will all of that be in our video or separate?
In addition to your film, we also provide separate films of your vows, all of your toasts and in "the director's cut", your full ceremony. these are fully edited, separately uploaded films of all of your vows, all of the toasts and in that last case, your full ceremony from start to finish. we also edit in the best parts of all of those into your film but know that it's important to have those moments in their entirety. if you're not into any of that, it may make more sense to create your own collection from the a la carte menu.
how many hours do you think we'll need you for?
8 is the most typical. we'd love to be there about an hour before you get dressed until about an hour into dancing. any more than that and it'll just be shots of your same cousin who is getting increasingly more drunk.
do you guys travel?
we love to. we have brand spankin' renewed passports and will work with you to get us to your wedding location for a reasonable extra fee. if your location is on our dream travel list (australia, greece, italy, spain and um, pretty much any island anywhere), we'll do our absolute most to make it happen on the cheap.
who is going to actually film and edit the video?
jes workman and one assistant cinematographer will always be there on the wedding day. jes edits each film personally based on each couple's story and overall feel of the day.
who picks the music?
we're limited to a few libraries that allow us to legally purchase the licenses for each song. we'll share the libraries with you prior to and after the wedding and ask for your favorite songs and general genres that you love to make sure we're on the same page.
how long does it take to get our film back?
our turnaround time for your film is between four to six months. if a teaser film is included or added to your collection, we'll get that over to you within two weeks. we also provide an online tracking list that will tell you where we're at with our editing process and when you're up on our screen. everything is hand edited in house by jes herself.
do you offer drone footage?
very rarely, which is why you don't see it in our pricing above. while we think drone shots are cool, we aim to focus more on the story, the words and the more intimate moments of your day. if you have a friend that wants to fly on the day and give us the footage, we'll be more than happy to edit it into the film. we do have some stock footage of a few popular spots in california and hawaii so if you'd like us to throw that in, we certainly can.
we don't want anything too cheesy.

no problem. we love it but we also want you to love your film as much as possible. if you're not into the mix of digital and super 8, we can leave our retro cameras at home and only take the big boys out and do all packages purely digital.

and we want to make one for you. let's schedule a time to hop on a call and go over the details. after that, we require an online contract & a 50% non-refundable retainer to make it official.
